To inside of doing the beach / tide pool thing that we normally do, we headed to Balboa Park and went to the Natural History Museum. A little too much for the kids. The featured exhibit was Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii.  The top level had pictures from the North and South Poles. For dinner we were all bummed to learn that the Old Spaghetti Factory was no more in San Diego.
