Today was the ride in Moab. After 9 1/2 hours, it was over. It is hard to tell in the picture but this was the top of the climb, 8,350 feet, and in the background is Moab. The views were amazing, beautiful red rock, the leaves were changing, the river was flowing.

Before today, the longest century that I done lasted 6 hours.

Today is the closet I’ll ever come to a stage in the Tour de France, and it was killer. It give me a whole new respect for pro riders.
