Sightseeing - Part 2

Another trip to DC again on the Metro. Today we saw the National Archive, including the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. We then went through the public vault and saw all sorts of interesting “documents”, which includes video, audio and classic paper documents.

It was then off to the Ford Theatre, which was closed for renovation, but the house across the street where Lincoln died was open.

We then walked over to the White House and all around it. On the Lafayette Park side of the White House there was a single protester who, from the sign that she had, had been there since 1981. That is a long time to hang out in front of a building.

Upon circling the entire building we ended up at the White House Visitors center. All sorts of items from the years were there to see.

It was back on the Metro to head for the house. Sergio and Traci volunteered to watch the boys while Stef and I went out for a nice quiet dinner and a drive through the Virginia country side.
