Freedom Triangle

We head off from Willamsburg to Yorktown, and then to Jamestown. At Yorktown we learned all about the last battle of the Revolution. There was a driving tour all around the countryside that showed all of the battle lines, housing, etc. The one thing we came away with was the huge amount of time that they spend digging and building their encampments and strongholds.

After hours on the driving tour, we headed to historic Jamestown. We were amazed that they picked this spot to settle. There seemed to be much nicer areas just up the James River, where they would of not been next to a swamp.

We then took the ferry over to Surry County, and started looking for our hotel, which is in Suffolk. After driving around Suffolk for way to long I decided to pull over and get directions. The coolest thing about technology is I did not have to ask anyone. I just fired up the laptop, connected to my bluetooth Sprint phone, and had Google give me directions in no time (which were correct). Gone are the days of asking some guy at a gas station how to get someone where, and have the best direction to the exact opposite place you wanted to go.
