The First Time to the Grand Canyon

Sarah, Julie, and Anna Lisa can out to visit us. So I packed them up and we flew up to the Grand Canyon for the day. The flight up was wonderful, smooth, a great experience for the first time flying in a small plane.

By the time it was time to come home the cumulus clouds were building, but the forecast indicated that there were no thunderstorms for the flight home. This segment was a little more bumpy than the flight up.

As we crossing the ridge in to Sedona, the clouds darkened, and it started to rain, then lightning. So we headed west to get around the storm, and once around we head south again. After we landed at Chandler, the clouds to the south and the north were very large.

The storm cells from the north and the south clashed over Tempe around six. It was one of the best monsoon storms I’ve been in.
One of the Greatest Places
