Pre-Turkey Day

Today was action packed. To start the day of right, at 6 am I went to the dentist to have him look at my cracked crown. Then it was home to work for a bit. Then it was off to Emily’s school where she was Abigail Adams for her social studies class. Back home to work some more, while Stefanie went to the Doctors.

Jakob’s school has an event every year called “The Turkey Trot”, where the kids and parent run around the field for 12.5 minutes. And when you are all done, it is BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs. Jakob ran the entire time, and Josh made a mad dash at the start. Then at 2 minutes Josh was spent, we then walked the rest of the time together.

It was then back to the house to work and pack for our trip to California. At 3:00 we headed out along with the estimated 33 million others driving to their loved ones. With a full tank of gas and a single stop at In-N-Out in Indio, we arrived at my mom’s house at 8:30.

We left Emily at my mom’s for the night. While there I noticed my sisters new Apple 15” MacBookPro, and we “had” to start comparing laptops and how we have them setup. After an undetermined time period of geek-ness, my sponsor reminded me that there is a life outside of computers and that I had to sleepy boys and we still needed to make the trek to our hotel for the night.
