The drive to Moab

Packed up the car with the bike and all the supplies one might need on a long trip. I was ready to zip up there, and thought most of the traffic would be gone by 8. I was not so lucky. I spent a better part of an hour trying to get to the I-17.

Once I was on I-17, things start to sail by, Anthem, Verde Valley. Got some fuel in Flagstaff and switched over to highway 89. In the middle of no-where, I started to get heavy rain for 30 minutes, and then it was gone. Turned on to highway 160 and went through Tuba City, and then Kayenta where I turned North on to highway 163 which takes you through Monument Valley. The drive through Monument Valley was breathtaking (I took the picture while driving) and was my favorite part of the drive. After passing Mexican Hat, it was on to highway 191 to Moab. At 4:45 I was parking at the Hotel for a quiet night.
